Back in early September. Ants and I were fortunate enough to travel to Carvoeiro, Portugal for our 'mini-moon'. As I'm sure you all know, we got married in April this year in JAMAICA! Yep, you read it right... Jamaica. How. Lucky. Are. We?!
Although we got married on one of my favourite islands in the whole world, we thought that it would be good for us to get away, just the two of us, later in the year. At our UK Wedding Reception, we had a wishing well rather than a gift list where our friends and family kindly dropped their well wishes and pennies into our 'well'. We decided to save half of the money but spend the other half on a mini honeymoon to one of our other favourite places - Carvoeiro.
Kev & Sue introduced us to Carvoeiro in July 2010 when we went on a family holiday and stayed in a beautiful villa about a ten minute walk from this beautiful beach. We fell in love with the place as Kev & Sue already had. There are lots of great restaurants and bars as well as great weather and that beach... love it! As we were going away for a short break, I decided that this was the obvious choice as we know where we like to eat and drink and didn't need to find our bearings as you do when you go to a new place.
We found a great deal online and stayed in the Mirachoro Praia which was a great little hotel for this trip with a lovely big pool and a room with a view just for us.
We had a lovely few days in the sunshine, reading, relaxing, sunbathing and spending time just the two of us. We missed our boy of course, but it was nice to spend some time just as husband and wife. Love you Antwa, xxx
