A trip to Bursledon Brickworks

A couple of weeks ago my Mum, a.k.a Grandma Boys, and I took William to Bursledon Brickworks to have a look around.

Please take a moment to look at their website, this place has been run by volunteers for years and has recently been awarded some cash by the Heritage Lottery Fund to take the museum forward. It's such a pleasure to have a piece of history right on our doorstep, so for all of you locals please go and visit when you can.

There were lots of steam engines, tractors, old buses, cars and most importantly to William TRAINS.

We also went inside the museum, and absorbed a little of the information and history of the place. William was more interested in going back on the trains but he did take a look at the brickwork horses and model of Southampton high street.

As it was nearly time for Halloween, there was a make-your-own-scarecrow stall. I think we did pretty well...

We can't wait to go back on 25 November for the Winter Festival !

We even have a little video of Grandma taking over the music mans machine...!
