A very busy family weekend

We had a very busy weekend spending time with various members of both sides of the family, it was lush!

On Saturday, we had a day trip to London to visit Auntie Gemma and Steve with Grandma Cats. William loves going up to London to see Gemma, as he gets to go on lots of trains and on the underground. He is super cute asking at every stop whether we are getting off at 'Waterlooooo' or whatever the name of the station is. And I mean every single stop he asks that question.

We met Gemma and Steve at the real food market at Southbank. There was lots of yummy food to choose from including caribbean curry, hog roast, burgers, malaysian pancakes - yum, yum, yum!!! If you're interested in visiting, you can find out some more information here

After we had eaten, we headed over to Kings Cross where there was an ice cream festival going on. It was quite a warm day and there were a lot of families there. There were various ice cream stalls - none of which we actually got ice cream for as the queues were so huge (!), some farmyard animals, a stall making liquid nitrogen ice cream with flavours such as port & stilton (I know!) plus a water feature that attracted lots of little people.

Afterward, we nipped over to St. Pancras station where there was an ice cream parlour for us to get some of the stuff!

We also had a nice meal at Prezzo before heading back home after a long but fun day.

On the Sunday, William and I went to the annual Watts/ Tew Family BBQ (Tony went to the Saints v Man U game with his Dad). All of our cousins, aunts and uncles from that side of the family get together on the first weekend in September to have a big BBQ together before the kids go back to school. We have only been doing it for two years now, but it is a great idea as it gets us all together - we are a pretty huge family so don't get to see everyone too often and it's a great way to remember all of the happy times we had with Grandma & Grandad.

How was everyone else's weekends? It does seem like ages ago now! Very excited about this weekend as Tony & I are jetting off to Carvoeiro, Portugal for our 'mini-moon' !!!
