On Saturday 6 October 2012, Tony joined the 31's club. Happy Birthday!
It seems to be becoming a tradition that we go away on Tony's birthday (last year we went to Alton Towers for his 30th - you're never too old for a theme park!) and this year we decided to come to one of our homes away from home, Perranporth.
You may remember Lily talking about Perranporth in her guest post, this is where she met my Grandad; and Perranporth has always been a holiday location for the Foxes and Grossett's and now for the Sainsbury's too. The beach here is amazing - rain or shine.... more on that later in the week.
We had a relaxed start to Tony's birthday, as we had been out the night before at The King & Queen in Hamble with Kev & Sue for pre-birthday rum. Once we were up and I had tamed my mane of hair (!) we went to pick up the boyo and Grandma Cats and went to M&S for birthday breakfast after William 'helped' Tony open his presents of course.
Yum.
Next was the drive down to Cornwall. We were very lucky, no hold ups -just Tony getting a bit concerned with my driving skills. I don't know what he is going on about...
Both William and Bobby were very pleased when we arrived at Tregundy Farmhouse, as they know the score - a week off with family and that beach. Lush!
Once everyone else had arrived, Tony and I took a stroll down to the local pub for a meal and some more rum, just the two of us. I hope you've had a great birthday Antwa, and enjoy this family week in one of our favourite places. xxx
